Activities

 

 Blackpool Tiggers main activity is trampolining with individual coaching to the level of each person's ability.  All lessons and sessions are run by a Level 2 or above British Gymnastics qualified coach with years of experience in trampolining for people with autism and other conditions. They are assisted by Level 1 coaches, trainees, trampoline helpers and spotters. Everyone working here is a volunteer, there are no paid staff. Each lesson is usually one to one and is specifically tailored to the needs of the individual, whatever their ability or needs.

 

 Sessions take place on Sundays between 11 am and 4 pm, and on Wednesday and Friday evenings,  between 4 pm and 7 pm. 

  Our family/games room has computers, games consoles, and arts and crafts activities, as well as a variety of toys for  children of different ages.

 

 The purpose built sensory room provides a calm, relaxed environment for all ages.

Digger Tiggers takes place at our allotment in Blackpool, where we grow fruit and vegetables and enjoy our summer barbecues in a safe, Autism friendly environment.

School Holiday Activities:

We also provide a school holiday programme of social events for our members, so families can enjoy activities together and receive help and support in social situations. We are extremely grateful to the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trust for awarding Blackpool Tiggers with a grant from the Three Guineas Trust to help with the costs of this scheme.

 Activities vary but can include horse riding, ten pin bowling, cinemas, games clubs, music sessions, visits to local amenities like the Space Centre, Pleasure Beach, Ribble Steam Railway, and Lowland Farm, as well as trips further afield to places such as Diggerland, Chester Zoo, Gulliver's World, Knowsley Safari park... the list goes on, and we are open to suggestions!
